Tesla Towing Company Responds to Electric Vehicle Fire
Tesla’s electric cars are widely sought after for their self-driving capabilities. With a sleek profile and many high-tech features, all eyes are on Tesla. Thus when one of these electric vehicles catches on fire, it makes the national news. Bigler Boyz was on the scene to provide assistance in the form of Tesla towing services.
The call came in during the late afternoon. Dispatch advised that a Tesla lithium-ion car had caught fire and completely burnt to the ground. The Tesla team loaded up and made our way to the accident along I-80 at mile marker 137.6 westbound between Clearfield County and Centre County.
We arrived with a roll-off truck and a roll-off container for hauling the car. This would allow us to keep the vehicle contained in case the fire rekindled. If the car caught fire again – a common problem with electric vehicles – the roll-off container could be quickly unloaded to keep the fire contained.
The rollback transported the tracked skid loader to the accident scene to load the car remnants and clean up the Tesla electric vehicle fire debris. Both the car and debris were loaded into the roll-off container for transport to our storage yard.
An emergency response truck with traffic control equipment and an arrow board was used to provide a safe work zone and perform traffic control. Once at our storage yard, the Tesla car was unloaded and had to be segregated from all other cars and buildings in the lot in case the fire rekindled.

Bigler Boyz recently provided Tesla towing services after an electric vehicle fire along Interstate 80 at mile marker 137.6 westbound. The fire sparked between Clearfield County and Centre County, leaving only the frame and a few remnants of the lithium-ion car behind.
The Tesla towing team immediately dispatched a roll-off truck and a roll-off container for hauling the burnt vehicle. This was done as a safety precaution in the event that the fire rekindled so the roll-off container could be quickly unloaded to keep the fire contained.
First, an emergency response truck with traffic control equipment and an arrow board was set up to ensure a safe work zone and perform traffic control.
With the help of a tracked skid loader, the Tesla towing company loaded the car debris into the roll-off container. From here, the Tesla towing crew transported the charred vehicle to our storage yard.
At the storage yard, the Tesla towing company separated the vehicle from the others to prevent a major fire if it were to reignite.
