Heavy Duty Recovery After Tractor-Trailer Overheats on Interstate 80

A recent heavy duty recovery job in Du Bois, PA proved that there is a good reason why there are weight limits to tractor-trailers. Bigler Boyz Towing & Recovery responded to a call from a customer who had his tractor-trailer stalled on Interstate 80.

The tractor was towing a heavy haul lowboy trailer with a Jeep and booster for the heavy load. The trailer itself was loaded with a rough terrain crane, for a combined weight of over 165,000 pounds! The heavy haul tractor-trailer had overheated and the driver called the Bigler Boyz crew for assistance with heavy duty recovery.

The stalled tractor-trailer was blocking the right lane of Interstate 80, causing the need for traffic control by the Pennsylvania State Police. Upon arriving at the scene, the Bigler Boyz crew expertly towed the tractor-trailer and towed it to the Bigler Boyz Towing & Recovery location for further repairs to the tractor’s engine.

Thanks to the efficiency of the Bigler Boyz towing crew, regular traffic was able to commence on Interstate 80 and the tractor-trailer was sent for the necessary repairs. It was a great reminder to all to always keep the tractor-trailer weight limit in mind! Great job out there, team! Keep up the great work!
